A good day

Class this morning at Still at 9 AM was good. Lots of new people and old friends. Been teaching in the last few days on the 2nd and 3rd sutra of Patanjali which are:
Yoga is the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind.
(And when that happens)
Then the Seer can abide in its own nature.

The word for one's own nature is Svarupa which literally translates as "one's form." So in a yoga class we literally take all these forms. Some of the forms that we take in a regular Hatha yoga class (ie, asanas) are amazing. Some of them we love and some of them are agitating. Can we somehow be at peace through the changing forms? Can we somehow tap into the still point within and connect with that essential part of us, as we continue to feel, to think, to move? As we continue to embrace and welcome every and any form life throws at us?

After class I walked to the reservoir, placed my mat and read Joseph Campbell, wrote and took some sun. Then I walked back to Still and taught again at 12:30. Today in the Practice we had an amazing group: Jenny, Hagar, Michelle, Raoul, Takeo and Sonia. Every single person was either a teacher or had done an Immersion. It was fun, challenging and felt like I was practicing with dear friends (which I was). I had a blast.

Later after the Practice I met with Hagar for two hours and we went over next year schedule for our Anusara Immersion and Teacher Training. I am so blessed to be doing what I love with friends and to be surrounded by so much love. I am so excited to be teaching a Teacher Training with Keric next year- we already have 13 people! And so excited to be teaching a year long Immersion and Training with my dear friend and sister Hagar, whom I have known for so many years. A dream come true.

Off to my writing class where we are having our end of the class party! The next class will meet next year.
Today was a good day! And so was yesterday, even with the challenges that life throws at you. Have a good evening everyone.
